Meet Picodeon at nano tech 2010 in Tokyo on February 17-19, 2010

January, 21, 2010

Picodeon Ltd Oy, the innovative thin film and functional technology company, will exhibit at nano tech 2010 in Tokyo on February 17-19. Picodeon’s Coldab® deposition technology provides the ultimate performance in terms of:

- Nanostructured surfaces

- Unique flexibility in choice of deposited material

- Unique flexibility in choice of substrate material, deposition even on heat-sensitive materials

- Excellent adhesion

- Scalable to large area industrial manufacturing, even roll-to-roll

The patented Picodeon Coldab® laser technology is based on the Ultra-Short Pulsed Laser Deposition (USPLD) of thin films. The energy of a picoseconds laser pulse heats a spot of the coating material (target). There is little or no heat transfer to the rest of the target material. This is why this technique is called “cold ablation”. Thus our Coldab® laser deposition technology allows heat-sensitive materials, such as certain plastics and paper, to be coated at a low substrate temperature.

Come and see us in our booth F-08 at nano tech at Tokyo Bigsight on February 17-19.
