Scatec invests into Picodeon; the companies launch a joint development of novel PV technology

Scatec AS and Picodeon Ltd Oy have today signed an agreement to jointly develop new low cost, large volume PV technology to be introduced to large area PV solutions. According to the contract, Picodeon and Scatec will work towards a PV technology including Picodeon’s Coldab™ laser ablation technology. This is expected to drastically reduce the costs of PV modules. Scatec has also made an equity investment in Picodeon for further acceleration of Picodeon’s development.
